PROBLEMS AFTER DPF REMOVAL
You can remove a diesel particulate filters (DPF), which will not only fix the problem that may be costing you dearly, but also remove an exhaust system blockage. This blockage creates extra back pressure, so the car runs more efficiently and has more power. It is more than just removing the Diesel Particulate filter (DPF) or cutting open the DPF filter. This also involves reprogramming your vehicle’s ecu computer. The section that deals with the diesel particulate DPF must be deleted.

Problems with the Particulate Filter (DPF / FAP)? Problems after dpf removal
Are you still clogged with the DPF / FAP filter or are you running out of additives?
Does the vehicle often switch to emergency mode?
Does the diagnostic diagnose an exhaust differential pressure sensor error?
Are the filter lights on the instrument panel on or are errors displayed?
Do you need to replace the DPF / FAP filter but do not want to spend more than 1,000 on a new one?
WARNING:
If your vehicle is already in emergency mode due to clogging/damage to the particulate filter and only runs at limited power (for example as without a turbo, up to 3000rpm, up to 50kmh, etc.) we strongly recommend not to drive the vehicle and perform dpf regeneration as soon as possible. and calibration software.
Due to the accumulation of flue gases in front of the filter and back pressure, the diesel to be regenerated penetrates into the oil, there is an increased risk of damage to the engine and turbo by degrading the oil, which is mixed with the diesel.
How would you go about getting rid of DPF and why?
Diesel Particulate Filters were implemented in accordance with the car emissions legislation and have become common in diesel cars. A diesel particulate filter which is referred to as DPF removes the diesel particulate matter, or the soot, from the exhaust gas of a diesel vehicle and reduces the particulates in the emissions. In some places, the removal of the DPF is illegal and can result in fines if discovered on a street vehicle.
The concern is that DPF can cause issues in cars (reduces power and performance, and causes clogging) and can give rise to a hefty price tags for repair. So the question is should you repair or have a DPF delete performed. The cost can be upwards of £2000 or more for repair, but much less for removal.
A DPF removal can actually bring better performance to your vehicle and is just another reason that more people are opting for this conversion. While there might be some risk for the EPA and dealer warranty, the power and performance people are seeing can be worth it. DPF removal is really about getting torque and horsepower for your vehicle, it is not something that every vehicle needs or should have.
Doing a DPF delete can be tricky, you need to be sure you understand how to perform the removal, or have a professional do the work. Computer tuning is critical in removal and can cause improper codes if not done accurately. So be sure the right tuner is used for removing the DPF. A proper tuner is simple to use, increases the power and mileage, and makes DPF removal pretty easy.
DPF’s can have effects on exhaust and while some older vehicles can see the improved performance, it may or may not be the answer for you. DPF delete kits are available and provide everything needed for you to work your own conversion.
So deciding if removing the DPF is for you or not, really depends on what you are using your vehicle for, and the life cycle of the vehicle. Weigh your options, review your usage and then decide, to DPF or not to DPF.
WARNING
We recommend removing and switching off the DPF / FAP filter only for racing tuning and for motorsports.
Removal of the DPF / FAP filter from vehicles intended for operation on ordinary roads is not in accordance with European Union legislation. A vehicle with the DPF / FAP filter removed may have problems, for example during a regular roadworthiness test.
We make such adjustments only at the direct request of the customer after being informed of possible problems and risks.
The engine control unit software is modified and optimized.
The modification consists in deactivating the control process of self-diagnostics of filter clogging in the control unit, cancellation of the control of the presence of additives and deactivation of regular regeneration of the DPF / FAP filter.
After uploading our software modification, all other vehicle functions are retained and fully functional – including cruise control.
We correctly remove FAP filters from problematic cars Honda, Toyota, Volvo, Mazda, Suzuki, Ford, Peugeot, Citroen – Siemens and Denso injection system
Be careful not to remove the filter improperly!
Be careful not to remove the filter improperly.
It is manifested by the increased smokiness of the vehicle, or the vehicle smells pungent. In some cases, cruise control does not work after improper removal of the DPF / FAP filter.
Such vehicle behavior is not correct.
These are signs of a defective or improperly removed DPF / FAP filter.
This problem needs to be addressed quickly, as there is a risk of permanent damage to the engine or turbo of your vehicle as a last resort.
Professional regeneration of DPF / FAP filter
We offer you professional regeneration of DPF / FAP filter.
Even a completely clogged and non-functional DPF / FAP filter, we are able to professionally clean and restore its proper functionality.
Regeneration of the DPF / FAP filter will save you considerable costs for the purchase and replacement of a new filter.
Problems with clogged DPF / FAP filter
Clogging of the DPF / FAP filter is usually the result of a problem in the combustion process, where excessive amounts of solid particles are formed.
These particles clog the filter very quickly and repeatedly, after which no software and strategy for regenerating the particulate filter is set. It is therefore very important not only to clean the DPF / FAP filter, but also to eliminate problems with the combustion process.
Solving the problem of clogged DPF / FAP filter
With the correct diagnostics, we will detect a fault in the system and suggest to the customer a method of repair, such as replacement of defective sensors, actuators …
In most cases, gets back to normal.
Symptoms of a problem with the DPF / FAP filter and system
Frequent short-term increases in instantaneous consumption indicate that particulate filter regeneration is often triggered. If the system works properly, regeneration takes place at a distance of 500 to 1000 km.
If your car regenerates the filter frequently (approx. From 200 to 400 km), this is a sign of a problem in the system and this significantly reduces the service life of the filter itself.
If your system is OK, regeneration usually occurs after driving about 800 km.
So at a distance of 80,000 km, there will be 100 regenerations.
If the filter regenerates every 400km, it is 200 regenerations per 80,000km, which halves the life of the filter.
If the work is done correctly and the DPF program section is correctly mapped from the vehicle computer, running the car without a Diesel Particulate system (DPF) should be easy. However, this is not the problem. It is the legalities, risks and potential financial consequences that could end up costing more than replacing your DPF.
This may sound very appealing, but there is a problem. It can be very serious, and although it seems unlikely, it could leave you open for a criminal prosecution.
It is illegal to remove a Diesel particulate filter within the UK and across Europe. Since 2014, it is also an MOT failure in the UK. This is a violation of the construction and usage regulations. The owner could be charged and/or fined for any offenses related to the modification.
The MOT checks can still be easily defeated at the time this is written. It forms a quick visual inspection for the presence DPF canister on the exhaust system. Therefore, having the actual filter removed, modified, and re-welded to the exhaust will not cause an MOT failure.
The legalities and risks of illegally removing the diesel particle filter are not limited to the MOT. The removal of a Diesel Particulate Filter is considered a vehicle modification. This is a very serious and illegal modification that must be reported to an automobile insurer. It is impossible to insure any vehicle that has had the DPF system removed, or destroyed, because it is not legal.
If an owner decides to remove the DPF in the case of a serious crash, and the investigator discovers that the vehicle has an illegal modification, the insurance company can cancel the coverage. The driver and vehicle will then be uninsured, and could face prosecution and possible criminal conviction. The insurer can pursue the driver privately if they decide to revoke their insurance coverage. This is to recover any money that they have paid to third parties in relation to injuries or losses, as well as to replace road barriers or street furniture.
